Luciana is currently on maternity leave and will return in April 2018.
Luciana has a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Psychology. She is pos graduated in Analytical Psychology and in Psycho-oncology, and holds a Master’s degree in Science (palliative care and psycho-oncology). Luciana is registered as a psychologist in Australia (AHPRA) and a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Luciana has an extensive experience in helping adults experiencing emotional difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment issues to life transitions (immigration, grief and loss, chronic illness), relationship problems, low self-esteem, anger management issues, addiction, and trauma.
Luciana understands that each patient requires a different treatment strategy and integrates diverse approaches on her practice, such as elements of psycho-education, analytical psychology, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Behaviour Intervention and Mindfulness.
Luciana has experience as a supervisor, and has worked as a university lecturer and mentor of post-graduation students in Psycho-oncology.
Luciana is co-author of the book “Discussing Psycho-oncology” (Costa, Nakamoto & Zeni, Lemar, 2009). She has written several papers and presented at many conferences internationally. Luciana is an understanding and supportive therapist who works from our Mona Vale office.
